with Gill Lloyd and Simon Low

Simon LowThis residential immersion with Simon Lowand Gill Lloyd and Yoga Academy facultywill give you 20 hours of continuing professional development, which can also be collected towards The Yoga Academy’s 500-hour certification.

The main emphasis on this training immersion will be on pranayamavedic chant and associated yoga philosophy, and their threads of teachings toward and within restorative yin yoga as meditation. Each day will begin with a led yang style class to strengthen the body and awaken the body’s innate rhythms. The rest of the day will be devoted to the study and practice of the weekend’s above mentioned content.

Bore Place HouseGill Lloyd’s extensive experience over 40 years in the fields of pranayama, vedic chant and philosophy will be shared on Friday and a consolidating study session on Sunday. Simon will lead the morning practices on Saturday and Sunday and will devote Saturday and most of Sunday to the detailed guidance on the appropriate alignment and prop use in yin and restorative asana, drawing further teachings from the latest research in neuroplasticity, contemporary psychology and contemplative practices.

Gill LloydDesigned to be highly practical, this immersion requires sensitivity and willingness to slow down, fostering intimate enquiry into our embodied experience in the present moment and heightened sensory awareness towards improved health and wellbeing.

All of the sessions over the three days will have inter-linked information and common strategies for the teaching and practice of yoga.
