The Hope Foundation

The historical buildings and extensive, beautiful gardens of Bore Place host our annual summer charity yoga event, the Yoga Garden Party in aid of The Hope Foundation.

Following our tradition, the actual Yoga Garden Party is held on the Saturday, and we have expanded the event into an optional residential Yoga Weekend for Hope from Friday to Sunday, taught by Simon Low and guest teachers.

Proceeds from all the events at the weekend go directly to The Hope Foundation, an Irish- and UK-based charity, of which Simon Low feels fortunate to be a patron.

Here is a short video from last year’s event:

The Hope FoundationThe Hope Foundation has been providing homes, safety and healthcare, clothing,
education and food to the abandoned street and slum children of Kolkata since 1989. As have many others, Simon Low has seen first hand just how desperately the children on the streets and in the slums of Kolkata need our help. At events like these – our fifth Yoga Garden Party and our first Weekend for Hope – we are raising funds for the invaluable work that The Hope Foundation does for so many of the deprived and destitute children of India, the country that has given yoga to the world.

This is most certainly a child-friendly event. In fact, we are also making a huge effort this year to entertain and educate children with yoga classes for kids, crafts, pond dipping and an opportunity for kids to see a day in the life of a child in the care of The Hope Foundation in Kolkata. So please come along en famille... there is lots of space at Bore Place!Line
